Avdol’s connection with Egyptian mythology, further supported by his strong stand, really brings in a lot into his character in terms of culture, and his role in the anime is very key to many of the battles. Avdol’s character is one of the standout Black anime males, melding intelligence with raw strength, and devotion that knows no bounds.

Although she is an antagonist, she shows her humanity and struggle so poignantly that the audience is able to relate very deeply with her.
